The young generation of Ukrainians needs Christian teachers, and Christian teachers need your help!

With Ukraine going through extremely difficult trials, there is hardly a single family that is not suffering emotionally, physically, and financially. People are deeply concerned and filled with anxiety; many, even Christians, are worried about the future. These are natural human reactions to war. How will this tragedy affect the rest of their children's lives in every area of ​​life? How can their children continue their studies to develop academically and intellectually if schools are closed or if teachers cannot teach as they normally do?

Online teaching for children is a great help in such difficult times, but things are not so simple for those who teach in private Christian schools, who depend on the ability of parents to pay tuition. While the Ukrainian government continues to pay the salaries of state schoolteachers, many of those who work in the private school sector are now receiving little or no wages due to the financial problems that parents are experiencing. Despite all of this, Christian teachers continue to teach their students online.

We sincerely ask you to continue to pray and do everything in your power to financially assist teachers and school leaders, as well as the teacher trainers and Ukrainian office staff of our Kyiv-based International Alliance for the Development of Christian Education (IADCE).

Needs may vary depending on the situation and individual person, so we reserve the right to make decisions about how donations are used based on the current situation and need. Our priority at this time is to help the staff of the IADCE’s member Christian schools as much as possible, particularly those living in “hot spots,” who have suffered the most.

All donations, as well our decisions about their distribution, will be reflected in our financial statements, and any donor will have the right and opportunity at least once a month to receive supporting documents (a brief report and bank statement) on the use of his or her donation(s) by writing to IADCE at the following address: mapxo.kyiv@gmail.com
